استأنف (الكلام)

اِسْتَأْنَفَ (الكلام)‏ \ continue: to go on after pausing for a time: But, he continued, "I may be wrong". proceed: to go on: After a short delay, we were able to proceed (on our journey or with our business). reopen: (of schools, shops inquiries, etc.) to start again after being closed or stopped: The school will reopen with a new headmaster after the holidays. resume: to continue; begin again after a pause: I go on holiday tomorrow, and resume work on the 17th. \ اِسْتَأْنَفَ الحكم \ appeal: to ask sb. higher in rank (esp. a court) to change a decision: The prisoner appealed to the high court.
